If you don’t have a strong sense of identity, you will constantly be looking for it in other people and other things around you to tell you who you are.
Why Identity Matters
That’s why the most magnetic and confident people are always the ones who have a strong sense of identity—because they know who they are. That comes from having a strong sense of knowing: “This is who I am, and this is who I’m not. This is what I like and what I don’t like. This is what I’m good at and what I’m not good at.”
If you can’t answer basic questions about yourself and you’re trying to be confident, you don’t even know who you are. You’re trying to be confident about someone you don’t even know.

You Don’t Find Yourself—You Create Yourself
You can go on all the trips in the world, participate in all the self-love rituals, do all the wellness, self-care, and take amazing care of yourself. But if you don’t sit down and take the time to create a version of yourself that you really love, you’re trying to be confident about something you know nothing about.
It’s like trying to sell a product you know nothing about. If you don’t buy what you’re selling, no one else is going to either. You gotta get to know your product first.
What This Means for You
Developing a strong sense of identity and personal brand is one of the most underrated skills in life. It affects your career success, personal fulfillment, confidence, and your ability to live a life you’re proud of—getting to be the version of yourself you really love.
