If you feel like you’re behind in life, this is for you.
I remember in my 20s, I saw everybody doing the milestones—the things that I thought I was late for. I had the house. I had the car. But I wasn’t married. I wasn’t pregnant. I didn’t have kids.
I’m a 35-year-old woman who’s married now. And looking back, the people I dated before were all wrong. There were huge red flags that I tried to ignore, that I kept pushing past—because I wanted to be married. I wanted to have what everybody else had, or at least what I thought they had.
It’s Much Better to Marry Late Than Marry Wrong
God does not make mistakes. The timing of your life is not an accident. What feels like delay is often protection. The relationship that didn’t work out wasn’t a failure—it was a redirection.
I wanted to have what everybody else had, or at least what I thought they had. But what I didn’t see was that some of those people were settling. Some of them were unhappy. Some of them married the wrong person just to keep up with a timeline. And that is a much heavier weight than waiting.

Your 20s Weren’t Wasted
Having kids in my 20s might have been nice. I would have had a lot of energy to keep up with them. But guess what? Now I have money and a regulated nervous system. Now I have the mental capacity to handle kids—and I can pay for my village.
There’s a version of you that would have done it “on time” and regretted it. And there’s a version of you—the one you’re becoming—who is grateful that you didn’t get what you wanted, because you were being saved from what you couldn’t see.
You’re Not Behind—You’re on Your Own Timeline
Your time is going to come. It’s not about being late—it’s about arriving exactly when you’re ready. You’re not behind. You’re just on a different timeline. And that’s more than okay. It’s a gift.
